Ri Kwang-chon is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on September 4, 1985 in Pyongyang, North Korea.
He played an integral part of the North Korea team that qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Ri Kwang-Chon played for Amrokgang in the DPR Korea League. He helped them to win the League title in 2002 and was one of the longest serving players of the team. In 2012, Ri Kwang Chon was chosen to join Chinese side Tianjin Teda but had problems obtaining a work permit. Although he did not join a Chinese team, Ri Kwang-Chon eventually joined Muangthong United F.C. in Thailand. Before the end of the 2014 Thai Premier League Ri Kwang-Chon was released from Muangthong United, because he couldn’t break through to the first team. After his release from Muangthong, Ri returned to North Korea to play for his former club April 25.
